Spine Pain Management opens new Florida center

Houston-based Spine Pain Management has opened an affiliate diagnostic center in Gainesville, Fla.

Spine Pain Management (Nasdaq: SPIN) is keeping good on its word to expand. The Houston-based company said Thursday it opened an affiliate diagnostic center in Gainesville, Fla.

Spine Pain Management is a medical services technology company that facilitates diagnostic services for patients who suffer from spine injuries due to traumatic accidents. On Sept. 4 the company said it closed on $1 million in long-term debt with an accredited shareholder to expand beyond its existing locations in Texas and Florida.

The company now has nine affiliated centers, including seven in Florida. The Gainesville location is the most northern center in Florida.

?We hope to expand the reach of our service into neighboring states," Spine Pain Management President and CEO William Donovan said in a statement. "We are strategically extending our business model into target markets that are conducive to our business growth."

The company opened its first out-of-state facility in Florida in 2011.
